REIT Group and Tsinghua University cooperated to support the Beijing Winter Olympics. Beijing REIT Technology Development Co., GmbH., a subsidiary of REIT Group, and Tsinghua University successfully completed theWinter Olympics Celebration Square Outdoor Public Facilitiesproject of the Shougang Olympics project. Beijing REIT Technology Development Co., GmbH. participated in the research and development, testing, trial production and final construction of the project. The Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University was responsible for the overall design and gave technical guidance and support during the implementation process.

Seit 2020, the Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University has led the national key research and development plan “Wissenschaftliche und technische Winterspiele” key special projectResearch and Demonstration of Digital Ecological Creative Design in the Shougang Division of the Winter Olympics”, and the relevant results have been applied to the Shougang Division of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

The project leader is Masai, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University. Among them, the third and fifth tasks of this project are undertaken by Zhang Lei, director of the Department of Industrial Design, and Wang Zhigang, director of the Department of Information Art Design, Tsinghua University Academy of Arts and Design.

In response to the major demand for scientific and technological support for the Beijing Winter Olympics, combined with the transformation of large-scale industrial sites such as Shougang Park and the holding of the Winter Olympics, research on low-power, large-scale, and strong-interaction accompanying image display technology based on Internet of Things technology to create an artistic Night sceneLight Paradise”; R&D and design of park public facilities based on clean energy and new materials, adaptive to external conditions such as seasons, Temperatur, weather, and autonomous adjustment of different scene modes, to build intelligent energy management based on 5G and Internet of Things technology system; research and develop immersive interactive technology that combines virtual and real to create future experience space; research and develop multi-modal interactive live broadcast system based on artificial intelligence to create an immersive large-scale live broadcast experience center based on 5G+8K technology for ecological and environmental protection; With the characteristics of Shougang Industrial Site, research and develop a service system for the ecology of the film and television base and a management system for cloud-side-end collaboration.

Project Initiation and Implementation Plan Demonstration Meeting

The project combines the physical space and digital space of industrial sites, explores an innovative revival model of future-oriented site parks and digital technology integration in the information age, creates the underlying framework of virtual-real integration technology, and forms a cross-support between digital space and physical entities. Iterative run mode. At the technical level, a multi-digital digital twin model and an intelligent management system of the park are built based on the Internet of Things, and a large-scale, low-power, and strong-experience park is comprehensively built. In terms of content, the theme of the Winter Olympics and the transformation of industrial heritage will be highlighted, and digital science popularization experience projects and innovative interactive projects will be created for the public. Through sustainable design strategies and technological innovations, the park has become a precious Winter Olympic heritage in Shougang Park.

The key scientific issues and key technologies to be solved in this project include intelligent monitoring and evaluation of complex light environments, precise design based on digital twins and light and shadow simulation, intelligent public facility design and manufacturing based on environmentally friendly materials, and adaptive cloud-edge-device collaboration Research and development of management and control systems, as well as design and development of immersive media capture and production live broadcast platforms.

Through the research and development of this project, it will not only help the publicity and promotion of the Winter Olympics, but also attract more audiences and tourists, and establish a typical demonstration for the reuse of industrial sites. The unique Olympic culture and leisure and entertainment venues will further enhance the cultural brand of Beijing and Shougang, and expand the influence of Shougang Park. On the basis of using clean energy and new environmentally friendly materials, research on the design and system integration of public facilities in Shougang Park, providing outdoor communication, theme activities, leisure and entertainment and other multi-functional public spaces for Shougang Park, with green environmental protection, intelligent management, New technologies and new experiences are the starting point. After the Winter Olympics, a sustainable operation and development of public facilities in Shougang Park will be formed.

The fifth task undertaken by Wang Zhigang’s team is to comprehensively apply the cutting-edge technologies of immersive holographic media collection, transmission and display to create an intelligent, multi-modal, 5G+8K, interactive immersive live broadcast platform, and build a collection of media production, generation and transmission in Shougang Park. An immersive film and television base for culture, tourism, and experience; and for the production of ultra-high-definition, immersive media content and immersive digital entertainment interactive experience for the indoor and outdoor digital interactive images of the Shougang competition area during the Winter Olympics.

Topic 5 focuses on the digital ecological creative design of the Shougang competition area of ​​the Winter Olympics. It mainly takes the Shougang industrial site as the carrier and uses the cutting-edge technology of immersive holographic media collection, transmission and display, focusing on research and exploration of intelligent, multimodal, 5G+ 8K, interactive and immersive live broadcast platform, to produce ultra-high-definition, immersive media content and immersive digital entertainment interactive experience for digital interactive images inside and outside the Shougang competition area during the Winter Olympics. Through the research and demonstration of this topic, we will create an immersive cultural tourism and economic punch-in place in the Shougang competition area, enhance its brand influence, and establish a typical demonstration for many industrial parks across the country.
